JA Inspire to Hire is a hands-on career exploration event for students in our Kentuckiana region with over 5,000 students attending to learn about careers in jobs in their own backyard. Over 50 local businesses from across the region will be ready to show students what a day in the life of someone with their job looks like, how students can get that job, and what students need to do or study to apply for their “dream” job.

The event took place on January 30 and 31 from 8:30 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the Kentucky Exposition Center, North Wing. Jennifer Helgeson, President of Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana, shared her enthusiasm, stating, ‘We are thrilled to introduce an exciting new twist to our decade-long JA Inspire program. This year, we are focusing on high school students and young adults in our community who are preparing to take their next steps into the workforce. While JA Inspire has been a tremendous success in the past, we’ve heard directly from businesses about the urgent need to fill positions in our region. This event is designed to address that demand and connect employers with the next generation of talent.’
This year over 5,000 youth and young adults participated in JA Inspire. Junior Achievement’s staff has worked closely with school districts, colleges, and community organizations to make the program available to our youth and young adults across the area.
“JA Inspire to Hire offers Louisville’s business community a powerful opportunity to connect with young people looking for their next step in the workforce and providing them with mentors and networks as they embark on their journey after high school or college,” said Christopher Manzo, Owner of SNDBX Design Collaborative and JA Vice Chair. “Students and young adults arrive at JA Inspire prepared with questions about working in various industries, resumes, and the enthusiasm to explore potential career paths. I strongly encourage businesses to get involved with JA Inspire to make a meaningful impact on Louisville’s emerging workforce and future business leaders.”
