LG&E and KU Employees Raised over $500,000 for Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana
Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana is thrilled to announce the resounding success of its recent annual charity bowling event. This year’s event exceeded all expectations, raising over $34,000 and surpassing $500,000 in the total amount raised by LG&E and KU employees since 2001!
LG&E and KU employees’ unwavering support and commitment, as well as the longtime support from the LG&E and KU Foundation to Junior Achievement’s mission, played a significant role in the success of the event.
"We are incredibly grateful for the generous support of LG&E/KU over many, many years, said Jennifer Helgeson, Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana President. "Their participation not only helped us raise vital funds but also demonstrated their dedication to making a positive impact in our community. It's inspiring to see businesses stepping up to support causes they believe in."
This charity bowling event has brought together many LG&E and KU employees and retirees over the years, united in their commitment to making a difference in the community. Attendees enjoyed an evening of friendly competition and camaraderie, all while supporting a worthy cause.
"The dedication and enthusiasm of our employees never fails to amaze me," said LG&E and KU Vice President-Energy Supply and Analysis David Sinclair, who is also a JA of Kentuckiana board member. "The funding raised through this event over the years goes directly to supporting JA of Kentuckiana and its mission to inspire and prepare students for success in the classroom and beyond."
The success of the charity bowling event would not have been possible without the generosity of sponsors, volunteers and attendees. Junior Achievement extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making this annual event a triumph.
