Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana Announces New Collaboration with University of Louisville and UofL Health in JA Finance Park

Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana is thrilled to announce a new collaboration with the University of Louisville and UofL Health, aimed at enhancing students' understanding of health care, financial literacy, and career pathways in the health care industry. This partnership will be an integral addition to the JA Finance Park program, providing students with valuable insights into health care's essential role in financial planning and community wellbeing, as well as the educational and career path from the University of Louisville to a fulfilling career at UofL Health.

Through this collaboration, students visiting JA Finance Park will gain access to interactive, real-life scenarios that underscore the importance of health care in personal financial planning and decision-making. Additionally, students will learn about a broad range of careers in the health care sector, the skills required, and the significant impact these roles have on the community. This program will highlight the journey from being a University of Louisville student to becoming a professional in the health care industry, with UofL Health serving as a key employer in the region.

Jennifer Helgeson, President of Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We are excited to work with the University of Louisville and UofL Health to provide students with a unique and inspiring learning experience. This partnership helps us bring critical awareness to health care as a career choice, while also educating students on the importance of health care in financial literacy and overall life planning.”

The University of Louisville and UofL Health join a network of community-minded organizations committed to equipping young people with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in an ever-evolving economy. This initiative aligns with Junior Achievement's mission to inspire and prepare young people to succeed by making informed choices about their education, career, and personal finances.
