Louisville, KY – November 3, 2025 – Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana (JAKY) hosted JA Inspire to Hire, a two-day, hands-on career exploration expo designed to prepare thousands of local students for the jobs of tomorrow. This high-impact initiative took place at the Kentucky Exposition Center, bringing together more than 4,500 students and over 50+ employers for an immersive career discovery experience.
JA Inspire to Hire was more than just a career fair; it is a transformational program that combines classroom learning with real-world engagement. Before attending the event, students completed Junior Achievement curriculum focused on career readiness, goal setting, and workplace skills. At the expo, students interacted directly with local employers through interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, and one-on-one conversations that opened doors to future career opportunities.
“This event was about igniting possibilities for young people,” said Jillian Cantu, Executive Vice President. “By connecting students with local employers, we helped them see what was possible, what jobs were in demand, and what skills they needed to succeed after graduation.”
Exhibitors represented industries such as healthcare, technology, skilled trades, manufacturing, business, education, and more—allowing students to explore career paths they may have never considered. The event also benefited employers by building a pipeline of future talent and inspiring the next generation of worker.
