Louisville, KY (December 11, 2025)— Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana (JA) hosted its annual Stock Market Challenge, bringing together hundreds of local high school students for a fast-paced, interactive simulation of Wall Street trading. Designed to strengthen financial literacy and decision-making skills, the event immersed students in a dynamic market environment where they bought and sold stocks, tracked trends, and strategized under pressure.
Throughout the challenge, teams navigated changing market conditions, responded to breaking “news,” and experienced firsthand confidence, risk, and quick-thinking shape financial success. Educators shared that the event not only sparks excitement but also helps students build crucial skills that will serve them in college, careers, and life.
“The Stock Market Challenge is more than a game—it’s a powerful learning experience,” said Jennifer Helgeson, President of Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana. “By simulating real-world trading, students gain practical financial skills, learn to think critically under pressure, and discover how informed decisions can shape their future success.”
JA extends a special thank-you to its volunteers, teachers, and generous sponsors, including River Road Asset Management, Cerity Partners, and Indiana University Southeast; whose support has made this transformative experience possible.
